Hi, I’m Marcelo — founder of Niiroo.
I was born in Rio das Ostras, a coastal town on the Atlantic side of Brazil whose name translates to “River of Oysters.”
It’s the kind of place where afternoons stretch a little longer, neighbors know one another by name, and joy appears uninvited: in the sound of the sea, in someone’s laughter across the street, or in a shared meal that turns into hours of conversation.
That feeling has a name in Portuguese: brasilidade.
It doesn’t translate perfectly. But if you’ve ever met a Brazilian, you probably know it. It’s warmth without pretense. Generosity without transaction. It’s finding light in ordinary moments and passing it forward.
That’s the spirit I wanted to build a company around.
Why Niiroo Exists
Over the years, I noticed something strange about the way the world buys things.
The best products — the ones that genuinely make life at home better — kept getting buried beneath layers of markup.
A ceramic vase that costs only a few dollars to produce ends up on a shelf for $60. A pet bed designed to last for years gets marked up eight times because it’s sold through the “right” store. A wall light that took a designer weeks to prototype becomes a $200 luxury the moment it reaches a boutique.
Somewhere between the maker and the family who would love the product, the price stopped making sense.
Niiroo exists to close that gap.
We curate home, pet, lighting, wellness, and lifestyle products from around the world and offer them at prices that respect both the maker’s work and your wallet.
No unnecessary markups. No middleman theater. Just thoughtfully selected pieces we would be happy to bring into our own homes, delivered honestly.

We would rather offer 30 products we genuinely believe in than 3,000 products we have never considered carefully.
Every item on Niiroo must pass one simple question from someone on our team: “Would I actually want this in my home?”
If the answer is no, it doesn’t make the cut.

No fake countdowns. No misleading “only two left” messages. No inflated retail prices designed to make a discount appear larger than it really is.
What you see is what we charge, and we aim to be transparent about the value behind it.
